Michael Krauß, Sänger und Gründungsmitglied der ehemaligen Rock- und Metalformation "No Nation" und ich jammten vor einigen Jahren gelegentlich mit Gitarre, Flöte und Keyboard herum. In einer lauen Sommernacht entstand so der Folktrack "Loneliness of darkness". Aufnahmen aus der damaligen Zeit existieren keine mehr, allerdings verfasste Michael dazu kurioserweise nach ein paar Jahren die Lyrics und vertonte das Werk. Die Aufnahmen sind freilich weder professionell, noch zeugen sie von außergewöhnlicher Vokalakrobatik. Dennoch ist es für mich ein zeitloser Song, der weitab von jeglichen Studioarrangements und Synthieklängen noch in die Kategorie der handgemachten Musik hineinpasst.
